New York based street artist WK Interact’s (Juxtapoz #96) work is inspired by the concepts of movement, gesture, and place. His site-specific pieces have garnered notoriety through the obvious concern for spatial context with which he approaches each location and through his fluid depictions of figures in motion. Blurring lines between street art, fine art, and design, WK Interact has exhibited in galleries internationally (and just opened his most recent solo show on Saturday at NYC’s Jonathan Levine Gallery) and collaborated with brands such as Nike, Adidas, and BMW. Watch the interview from “The Run Up,” available for the first time to the public for free, on Walrus TV here…

Her large-scale installations are crafted out of felt or crocheted items and are eye-burningly bright, bordering on psychedelic. Oh, and there are also the Yeti costumes. We were lucky to have the chance to catch up with this tactile creator and pick her brain about her creations. Discover more about Sarah Applebaum here . . .

“I’m doing something a little different today,” writes N8 Van Dyke (Juxtapoz #90). “I’m auctioning off my latest drawing on eBay with all proceeds going to a chimpanzee… Bubbles. This was created after hearing of Michael Jackson’s passing. My love for chimpanzees made me sit down and draw this (while listening to Michael’s music, of course).” More here…
